Understanding our musculoskeletal health and nutrition is important for every body.
Whether you want to feel strong enough to perform on stage, keep up with your children at the park, or simply carry the shopping in from the car without pain.
We have a goal to raise standards of care for dancers, athletes, and everybody who wishes to improve their overall health.
As part of the Philip Cutts Pain Management and Rehabilitation Group, we have access to a team of leading, inspiring people who all have a shared vision to use their in-depth anatomical knowledge to provide injury prevention, rehabilitation and education throughout the UK.
After many years of teaching dance, completing my teaching qualifications and attending several CPD training courses, I still felt as though I didn't have enough knowledge about human anatomy to be the best teacher. So I began learning with the Philip Cutts Pain Management and Rehabilitation Group. These CPD courses are not just about dance, but the whole human body.
It began with the biomechanics of how muscles move the skeleton to allow us to dance, to understanding the differences at various life stages, to exploring the effects of vitamin deficiencies at a cellular level.
Whilst this was making me a better dance teacher, it also sparked some deeper questions.
These are questions I now ask every patient to ensure we are working together towards the same goal.
